Can a garden send a message of love and peace to the world and inspire social engagement? Answering this question was the inspiration for the garden project of the students at the Bellaire School in Queens Village, NY, and made them the winners of our 2017 Carton2Garden contest in the Health and Nutrition category.

This is just a reminder that due to safety concerns, the main entrance of P.S. 135Q, The Bellaire School, has moved. The new main entrance will be located on 89th Avenue. Please do not try to enter on 207th street. These doors are now locked and alarmed. If your child is late to school (8:05 AM or after), they will have to use the new main entrance to enter the building. Again, this entrance is located on 89th Avenue.
Morning entry will remain the same at the Student Entry. The Student Entry is open from 7:45 AM to 8:05 AM. Fifth-grade dismissal will be the same as well. Fifth grade will dismiss at 2:15 PM.
During morning entry and dismissal time, parents will not be able to use the 107th Street entrance to enter the building.
The handicapped accessibility exit will still be used for those who need it.
I thank you for your understanding through this transition as the safety for our children is our first priority.
